About the Project.
I am a British songwriter from London, who has for a long time wanted to write a West End/Broadway/Hollywood musical. Below are some example songs. They do not form part of a coherent story; they are merely to showcase what I can do.
For some I have deliberately kept the instrumentation basic which is good for small theatres. In others I have let myself go a little so those arrangements might be better in larger theatres or even a film setting. I am looking for lyricists, librettists, producers, directors, and anyone else interested in making it happen.
Theatrical Composition
Writing for the stage requires a unique blend of dramatic underscore and narrative songwriting. As a musical theatre songwriter and lyricist, Lee Laurent focuses on the script-to-score process, ensuring that every note supports the character's journey.
This archive features examples of original stage musical style songs. We collaborate closely with book writers and directors to develop cohesive musical narratives that resonate with a live audience.

Vocal Credits: Most of the vocals on Dream On are performed by Georgina Hart. Other tracks feature guide vocals intended for demonstration purposes; they are placeholders for professional theatrical casting.
A Note on Collaboration: I am currently seeking passionate lyricists, librettists, and producers to help bring these narratives to life. Please note that this is currently a collaborative passion project with no upfront budget; I am looking for likeminded individuals interested in building something unique for the love of the craft and future shared rewards.
